Sweat: The Play

October 3, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Community members are invited to join us for a free performance of the Pulitzer-Prize winning play, Sweat, by the Public Theater of New York City’s Mobile Unit National on Wednesday, October 3 at 6:30 pm.

Written by Lynn Nottage, Sweat tells the story of a group of friends who have spent their lives sharing drinks, secrets, and laughs while working together on the line of a factory floor in Reading, Pennsylvania. However, when layoffs and picket lines begin to chip away at their trust, the friends find themselves pitted against each other in the hard fight to stay afloat.
This performance follows the collision of race, class, family, friendship, and the unintended costs of a community without opportunity.

This performance will be held at the I.C. Social Hall, 251 W Spruce Ave, Ravenna.
Please be advised that this is for mature audiences and that the performance will contain adult language, content, and themes.
For more information, please contact the Reference Department at 330.296.2827 ext. 200.

Please RSVP to reserve your free tickets.
