Please keep in mind: the scarecrow will be displayed outdoors during the contest and should be designed to withstand the autumn weather.  Contestants shall provide the materials necessary to build the scarecrow. All scarecrows shall be appropriate for public viewing: no adult\, political or excessively gory themes allowed.  All scarecrows should be in good taste\, any scarecrow deemed distasteful or against these rules will not be accepted into the contest and/or will be removed from viewing.  Contestants must provide any materials needed to display the scarecrow. \nDrop Off: all scarecrows need to be dropped off with a completed and signed entry form by September 27\, 2023. Voting will take place online and winners will be announced during Portage DD’s Trunk or treat and on Facebook (Portage DD and Ravenna Chamber) on October 27th. Winners do not need to be present to win. \nPick up:  If you wish to keep your scarecrow or any item attached to it you must pick up your scarecrow from its location in the community between November 1 and November 5th.  On November 6\, 2023\, any scarecrows still located in their spots in the community will become the property of the Ravenna Chamber and or Leeda Northeast.
