DESCRIPTION:April 8 2021 – PCSC Meeting Notice \n  \nThursday\, April 8\, 2021\n11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.\nVirtual Meeting\nHuman Trafficking 101\, presented by Mary Kate Waggoner\, Education & Outreach Committee Co-Chair\nat The Summit County Collaborative Against Human Trafficking\, and Megan Vermillion\, Education and\nOutreach Advocate at the Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center.\nDid you know that over 1500 human trafficking survivors were identified in Summit County last year\nalone? Did you know some of them may be your customers or employees? Join us as we dive further into\nthis topic with The Summit County Collaborative Against Human Trafficking!\nMary Kate is a graduate of the University of Akron\, with a bachelor’s degree in social work\, and a graduate\ndegree currently in progress! She is passionate about working with survivors of human trafficking\, abuse\,\nand trauma. She currently works as the Coordinator for the Summit County Human Trafficking Task Force\n(SCHTTF)\, overseeing task force sting operations and victim advocacy services through RAHAB Ministries.\nMegan is a two time graduate from The University of Akron with a Bachelors in Social Work and a Master’s\nin Higher Education Administration. Megan works for Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center (Battered\nWomen’s Shelter and Rape Crisis Center of Summit and Medina Counties) as an Education and Outreach\nAdvocate. Megan’s job entails recruiting and training volunteers/interns and educating the community on\nsexual violence and intimate partner violence. Megan has a passion to inspire others to take a proactive\nstand against human trafficking\, sexual violence and intimate partner violence!\nThis training is ideal for HR managers\, supervisors & all staff!\nPlease RSVP online no later than 12pm on Tuesday\, April 6. Please note this meeting is limited to 100\nparticipants and is for current FY21 members only. Unless approved prior to the virtual meeting\, nonmember registrations will be cancelled. \n  \nMUST PRE-REGISTER HERE!!
